Bike Parking Koopgoot

A new and innovative bike parking facility opened on 16 October 2024 in the former V&D building near the Koopgoot in Rotterdam. It stands out for its rounded design and a HeartFelt® Linear felt ceiling — the first finished ceiling in a Rotterdam bike parking facility.

Hunter Douglas Architectural collaborated to develop the curved transitions, using sustainable, recyclable felt for acoustic comfort. This project supports Rotterdam’s goal of a more bike-friendly, car-free city centre, encouraging cycling with its strategic location.
