Dulon College

Hunter Douglas Architectural, in partnership with the renowned architectural firm cepezed, is proud to contribute to the transformation of Dulon College in Ede, a leading vocational education institution. This ambitious project incorporates 1,800 m² of Derako® Solid Wood Linear ceilings, crafted from sustainably sourced pine wood (15×116 with 19mm spacing) with a custom finish. The ceilings enhance both the aesthetic and acoustic qualities of the building, creating a warm and functional environment for over 2,600 students and 240 staff members.

Combining natural materials with sustainability
The redesign prioritises sustainability and modernity, retaining the building’s original concrete framework while introducing prefabricated wooden structures, aluminium cladding, and expansive glass corridors. The nearly energy-neutral renovation integrates solar panels, geothermal energy, and optimized ventilation systems, ensuring a future-proof and comfortable learning space. With its innovative design, Dulon College sets a new standard for educational environments, combining natural materials with cutting-edge sustainability.
