Sterrenburg Shopping Centre

The Sterrenburg shopping centre in Dordrecht has undergone a major transformation, evolving from an outdated complex into a modern Full Service Center. The renovation included new ceilings, floors, wall and column finishes, lighting, storefronts, and upgraded entrances. Derako®’s solid wood systems were chosen for the ceilings and part of the walls, enhancing the ambiance with a natural and luxurious aesthetic.

The Linear multipanel system creates a refined wall design, while the wooden Grill system adds character and depth to the ceilings, incorporating curved elements for a striking effect. To improve acoustics, the Derako® Eco Silent Panel was installed above the Grill system. The expert installation by Interprojects ensured a flawless finish, contributing to both visual appeal and acoustic performance. Since the completion of the project, the shopping centre has seen increased visitor numbers, marking a successful transformation into a vibrant and welcoming retail destination.
