The Budapest University of Technology and Economics, founded in 1782, is Hungary’s leading technical university and one of the oldest Institutes of Technology worldwide. With eight faculties, over 110 departments, and a diverse academic community of 1,100 lecturers, 400 researchers, and international students from 50 countries, it plays a key role in engineering education, issuing about 70% of Hungary’s engineering degrees.
