Modern workspaces with acoustic comfort thanks to HeartFelt®

The newly modernised HUK Headquarters in Coburg features the modular HeartFelt® felt ceiling and wall system by Hunter Douglas Architectural, combining design, acoustic performance and sustainability.

Seamless transitions between ceilings and walls

Selected by Becher & Partner architects, the system plays a key role in creating a modern-future-proof working environment. HeartFelt® (panel size 40 x 55mm, module 70) was installed in offices, lounges and meeting rooms to enhance acoustic comfort while delivering a contemporary design aesthetic. The versatile felt panels were used both on ceilings and walls, allowing seamless transitions between surfaces. A key design element for the architects.

Dynamic design

The system’s five shades of grey create a dynamic, modern atmosphere, while the panels’ acoustic properties significantly improve sound comfort. Integrated lighting and media technology fit effortlessly into the ceiling design, maintaining a clean, cohesive look.

“In the entrance area, the lighting elements were aligned flush with the bottom edge of the felt panels, adding both direction and visual interest to the space,” says Stefan Menzel, partner at Becher & Partner. “By using the felt panels consistently and carefully arranging the various shades of grey, we achieved a balanced and harmonious overall design.”

Sustainable and flexible

Made from recyclable materials, HeartFelt® supports sustainable building practices by allowing easy separation of felt and metal components for future reuse. The combination of flexibility, sustainability and acoustic performance makes HeartFelt® an ideal solution for forward-thinking architectural projects.
