Atlas Theatre

In Emmen, a striking theatre marks the transition between the city centre and the Wildlands Adventure Zoo. The building was conceived as a fusion of culture and nature, reflected in its flowing, organic form and green roof. This undulating concept continues throughout the interior. The Derako® ceiling winds through the theatre at varying heights, ranging from five to fifteen metres. With its convex and concave curves and multiple focal points, the design creates a dynamic spatial experience. Every detail was carefully engineered in advance.
