TenneT

The TenneT headquarters in Arnhem, designed by the architecture firm Studio Groen + Schild from Deventer, earned the 2014 International Design Award for “Large Offices”. The building’s design embraces the Cradle to Cradle philosophy, prioritising sustainable, pure and honest materials in a timeless aesthetic.

The interior systems used at TenneT are demountable, reusable, and formaldehyde-free. Derako®’s solid wood wall panels, crafted from White Oak, combine high aesthetic value with functionality. The panels can be easily removed from the reusable frame without damage and seamlessly integrated into new designs.

In this project, some walls required radial curves. By adding special concealed notches, standard, non-pre-curved slats were easily installed in the rounded sections without extra mounting techniques.

The Derako® walls not only provide excellent acoustic performance, enhancing the workspace, but the natural wood materials and elegant appearance create a pleasant environment appreciated by employees.
