Docks Bruxsel

Docks Bruxsel opened in 2016 along the Vergotedok canal in Brussels, on the city’s oldest industrial site, formerly home to the Godis stove factory. Today, it is an ultra-modern shopping centre with a distinctive character, immediately recognisable by its impressive, rounded entrance shapes.

Our Belgian sales partner worked closely with contractor Besix and architects Art & Build Brussels on this project. As the shopping centre achieved a BREEAM Excellent certification, FSC®‑certified pine wood was selected. The solid wood Derako Grill system adds a natural and refined finish to the interior.

The Grill system was installed in the central hall, forming a canopy above and in front of the shops, covering approximately 1,006 m² in a fire-resistant application. Due to the oval interior shape, the system follows elegant curves with mitred corners. Special prefabricated panels were integrated for lighting, precisely cut by Derako. Finished in a Cherry colour, the wood creates a warm and inviting atmosphere throughout the shopping centre.
