Derako® Veneered TopLine Wall

Derako® Veneered TopLine wood wall panels combine the character of real wood with acoustic performance and design flexibility for architectural interiors. Suitable for both wall and ceiling applications, the system provides architects and designers with a versatile wood panelling solution for introducing the warmth and natural appearance of wood into an interior scheme.

The panels consist of an MDF core finished with a choice of organic or engineered wood veneers. Standard panel options are available, while custom panel shapes provide additional design freedom for projects requiring a more individual appearance.

Acoustic Wood Panels for Interior Design

As well as providing a distinctive architectural finish, Derako® Veneered TopLine acoustic wood panels can contribute to the acoustic performance of an interior.
The visible face of each acoustic wall panel features symmetrical grooves, while perforations to the rear allow sound energy to pass through the panel. Different groove and slotted perforation patterns are available, giving specifiers flexibility to balance the visual requirements of a project with its acoustic needs.

A pre-applied acoustic non-woven tissue is incorporated to the reverse, with sound absorption of up to αw 0.45 (Class D). When used with an acoustical pad, performance can reach αw 0.90 (Class A). Wood Walls (1)

Natural Wood Veneer Finishes and Design Flexibility

A variety of organic and engineered veneers allows the wood veneer wall panels to be integrated into a wide range of architectural interiors. The choice of wood veneer finishes provides the visual character of natural wood, while offering designers flexibility across different interior concepts.

The linear panels use a tongue-and-groove connection to create a consistent appearance across the finished surface, while the choice of veneers and groove patterns gives designers scope to develop different visual effects.

Veneer also makes efficient use of natural wood. Modern production methods allow approximately 800–1,000m² of veneer to be produced from 1m³ of wood, helping maximise the use of the raw material.
